Fame Football is a football game. It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and it does not collect, sell or share personal data. The only thing that ever leaves your device is a replay you choose to share.

What stays on your device

The game remembers a few things in your browser's or the app's local storage, so they are there next time: the sides and difficulty you picked, teams you edited, whether the sound is muted, which tips you have seen and the graphics quality that suits your device. They never leave your device. Clearing the site's data, or uninstalling the app, removes them.

Shared replays

When you press Share during a replay, that replay is uploaded so the link works for whoever you send it to. It holds the few seconds of play on screen — where the players, the referee and the ball were — the two teams with their kits, and any player names you typed in the team editor. Nothing about you or your device is in it. Anyone with the link can watch it, and it is kept so the link keeps working. Nothing is uploaded unless you press Share.

The upload goes to our server at api.famefootball.com (hosted by Hetzner), which stores the replay on Cloudflare R2; a shared link is watched from replays.famefootball.com, served by Cloudflare. While it takes an upload, our server uses your IP address to limit how many replays one address can share. It keeps that in memory for at most a day and does not log or store it. To have a replay you shared removed, send us its link.

The website

famefootball.com is served by Cloudflare, which keeps the standard technical logs any web host keeps (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use them to identify you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The Android app

The app carries the whole game inside it. It makes a network request only when you press Share in a replay, which uploads that replay as described above. It asks for no permissions beyond the internet access every Android web view declares.

Children

The game collects no personal information from anyone, children included. A shared replay holds none, unless a player name typed in the team editor is one.
